I have spent a majority of my graphic design career focused on infographics. I enjoy taking complicated ideas and distilling them down into engaging, easy to glean images. I also love to work in a retro-inspired style and have fun with that whenever possible. Here are some of my favorites!

An art deco-style chart titled '25 Classic Cocktails' with illustrations of cocktail recipes, each with ingredients and methods. The chart includes sections for garnish, rim, and method symbols, with color-coded ingredients and decorative borders.

An Overly Simplified

History of Political Parties in the United States

Endeavoring to educate myself about the history of political parties in the United States, I created this infographic detailing the progress, shifts, and changes that have transpired since our country was founded. Conveniently I completed this in 2016, and have no plans on updating it until further notice.

A timeline infographic titled 'An Overly Simplified History of Political Parties in the United States,' illustrating the evolution of U.S. political parties from 1792. It features a series of maps and flowing lines representing different party systems: First Party System, Era of Good Feelings, Second Party System, Third Party System, Fourth Party System, Fifth Party System, and Sixth Party System, with party names, color codes, and key events within each era.
The infographic titled 'Periodic Table of Asset Classes' displays nine asset classes grouped in columns, arranged from most liquid to least liquid from left to right. It includes sections for currency, risk, and collectibles, with each asset class represented by a colored box containing the sample abbreviation, risk index, and description. The image also includes explanatory text about the organization and characteristics of asset classes, with logos of WealthManagement.com and Riskalyze at the bottom.

An informational infographic about San Francisco featuring historical facts, landmarks, and geographic details such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the city’s history, landmarks, and climate.

San Francisco Fun Facts!

When I moved to San Francisco, I fell in love with the place as much as most people who move here do. In 2015, I created this infographic to channel all of that affection. Chock full of tidbits of history and statistics, this piece ran in the local blog, The Bold Italic, and I believe both enlightened and delighted those who read it or bought a copy to hang on their own walls. See the full version here.

Branding

I wouldn’t be much of a designer if I couldn’t help clients create logos and branding. I’ve helped mostly small businesses and individuals reach their goals of having a recognizable and cohesive brand for their business or organization.

Collection of cybersecurity and security-themed stickers on white background, including labels for intrusion detection, firewall controller, malware protection, secure development, and inventory specialist.

Stanford University

Security Minimum Stickers

Inspired by some mid-century mechanical engineering design, these stickers were created for the IT team at Stanford to help spread the word on managing security in their infrastructure. I really enjoyed taking these very modern concepts and giving them a retro-feel.

A spread of playing cards from a deck featuring iconic San Francisco landmarks in red and blue designs, including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Transamerica Pyramid.

San Francisco Card Deck

A client gift featuring landmarks from San Francisco, a fun personal tribute to the city I love and that so many also love to love.

Kings are tall buildings or towers: Sutro, TransAmerica, Coit and the Ferry Building clock tower (this is pre-Salesforce tower). Queens are bridges: Bay Bridge both east and western spans, Golden Gate, Japanese Tea Garden bridge in Golden Gate Park. Jacks are comprised of other famous tourist attractions including the Painted Ladies in Alamo Square, Alcatraz Island, Lombard Street, and the Palace of Fine Arts.

Of course, the real character of the cards lies in the Joker, whom I aptly chose dear Emperor Norton to fill the role of.
